Face 1 | Face 2 | Face 3 | Face 4 | Face 5 | Face 6 | Face 7 |
People use faces for evaluating, reacting, interacting.
We look at a face not only to understand something of the person wearing it, but also to better understand all the elements of the surroundings we see reflected in it - including ourselves. The worldview of a person depends hugely on the faces that person sees.
Judgments of strange or familiar, good or bad, funny, happy, sad - all rest on what that person has seen, reactions that person has been a part of while interacting with other faces.
Most people act and react on this level all the time without being aware of it. In exploring what we recognize as a face, experimenting with different ways to look, examining how we evaluate the elements to determine personality, we may arrive at a greater understanding of who and what we think we are.
